Next, I “seasoned” them by rubbing some chalk all over them and then wiping it off.. Time to see how they look!
This is a big deal, because, you see, these are my dream fire pit chairs.I’ve been planning to have them around a fire pit for years and was hoping that at the end of the season one year when the time was right I’d have saved enough to buy a couple and even if they were a horrendous color, I would just paint them white myself.. Then one day, bam, here they are!.
So of course my mind is racing with all the potential in this little area of the yard now.. Something about these chairs makes everything feel crisp and fresh, even in the middle of all the construction, or rather deconstruction, mess going on everywhere..So many ideas right now….paint the fire pit?
put in a brick surround? What about stone?
Should I put in some flower beds or is just mowing down the creek weeds enough?.
Something about these chairs being here now is creating a sense of urgency for getting this all taken care of..I did pull that weed after I saw it in this photo.. People have been checking up on our garden.
They drive by and report back to Chris’ parents. They’ve been saying nice things.
I know they just can’t see all the weeds from the road, but it does make me feel encouraged..If it wasn’t looking so good, I know we’d hear about it.
